Today is Giving Tuesday and you can directly help others through Guide Dogs of America. If you don’t know what Giving Tuesday is, don’t worry, GDA has you covered.
It’s easy to remember, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday. Created in 2012 as a simple idea: Giving Tuesday encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.
On this year’s Giving Tuesday, GDA kicks off their Holidays of Hope fundraiser. Each donation made will directly benefit a veteran, a person who is visually impaired, or a child with autism who desperately needs the life-changing confidence, love, and hope that a service dog provides. Happy Giving Tuesday!
Guide Dogs of America is the IAM’s favorite charity. At the beginning of this year, GDA completed a merger with Tender Loving Canines, and now provides hardworking service dogs for people who are blind/visually impaired, veterans, individuals with autism and facilities to become trusted companions that bring confidence, independence and mobility. Their services are provided free of charge to residents in the U.S. and Canada.
