Brothers and Sisters,
We have started distributing the $50.00 gift cards this week. We have been focusing on getting as many distributed as possible. To date, we’ve distributed over 2200. We plan to distribute off-shift and offsites next week. Overall, the reception has been extremely positive. Unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to hand these out during working hours which has limited our opportunities for distribution. With that in mind, we look forward to completing this task as fast and efficiently as possible. Rest assured, everyone that was a member of Local S6 as of 12/17/21 will receive a gift card. Thank you for all that you do.

Brothers and Sisters,
Due to an unfortunate error in payroll processing, 991 of you had an extra $50.00 deducted from your paycheck as an initiation fee. When this error was discovered, Local S6 Leadership immediately jumped into action to determine the cause and find a resolution. Please see below:
- As such, a refund of this error will be refunded to the impacted populations 1/9/22 paycheck.
- We have confirmed the error and deductions of that nature shouldn’t happen again in the future.

In the event the election cannot be held on the stated date, the alternate date will be the 1st workday after the cancellation (or the Shipyard re-opens) at the same time and places listed below.

(1) 1st SHIFT BATH/EBMF E02
Shop Steward nominations for the above classification(s), shift, and facility are now open. Petitions may be picked up beginning on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the Local S6 Union Hall.
You must be a member in good standing for one (1) year to run for Shop Steward and the petition must be signed by ten percent (10%) of the members in the classification(s) affected.
All petitions must be returned to the Recording Secretary (Ryan Ryder) no later than 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
